Children from Ridgeway Primary School visited Lichfield to look at the fine collection of public artwork around its streets. Initial work in the morning looked at understanding and interpreting what a sculpture means – and what the artist has represented. They also looked at developing ideas for the type of sculpture that they would like to see in the City.

Then they toured the city sculptor Peter Walker, looking at 5 sculptures and statues. They will be working on developing a report on each sculpture when the project continues in December. They were also fortunate to get a guided tour of the Cathedral and tour of the sculptures and artworks inside
